During the holidays last year, I took part in Giving is Awesome, a project where photographers from around the world donated their time and custom photography services to families who couldn’t necessarily afford it due to life circumstances.  The family who was selected to receive my Giving is Awesome prize had their session last week.  It was a joy to be able to give back and do this for them.  

Y is a young, widowed mother of three beautiful children.  She lost her husband when her boy/girl twins were just 3 months old and her older daughter just 5 years old.  Her entire family lives in Japan and she is raising her children here, on her own and with limited means.  Spending time with this family was really an honor for me and a reminder of the blessings I have in my own life.   Their love for each other just radiates from them and Y is an AMAZING mother.
