Happy Earth Day!

In honor of the day created to inspire awareness and conservation for our environment, I’d like to invite you to sign up for our newsletter (if you aren’t already receiving it).  Just one small way to help save a tree in our environment because it is paperless – sent via email!

And of course, a post isn’t complete without a picture. You might recognize this family because I photographed their little guy in utero (his mom’s maternity photos) and as a newborn back in September.  Their sneek peek is coming soon!

Spending time with a newborn baby is such a wonderful thing.  Their newness to the world, their tiny yawns, their contentment being swaddled and held and loved are just a few of the little things I look forward to capturing during a newborn session.  I just wish their was a way to capture that sweet baby smell!

  This tiny joy was just 11 days old when we met over the weekend and he is as perfect as can be.

The star of our session is actually a little brother so we had to be sure to include big brother in on the session too.  I already know that little D and his big brother are going to have fun growing up together.  First they decided to make faces at me.  Pirates?  Arggggghh!

Then I asked them to make happy faces…. and they BOTH did!

**sigh**  I love my job!

Thank you F family for allowing me to spend the afternoon photographing your beautiful family.

the signs of springtime | irvine child photographer

The hills are alive…. with the signs of springtime!  Beautiful wildflowers are growing abound in Orange County (all that rain the first few months of the year were so good for the earth).  Every time I am out and about, running to Target, or taking my kids to school and their other activities, I constantly see beautiful wildflower fields full of yellow, orange, and purple flowers, and the lush green hillsides.  My mind is constanting thinking “wow, this would be the perfect spot for a photoshoot!”

I was super excited with K’s mom booked her session and wanted to take advantage of the beautiful OC spring scenery.  What’s even more special that her session took place just outside her neighborhood!  I just love the bright spring colors!

And of course, you need to have balloons!
