Another newborn session… another boy!   I have been 3 for 3 with newborn boys the past few weeks.

I photographed adorable baby H earlier in the week and so sweet he was.  He just turned four weeks old and was such a good little babe for our shoot.  His mom and dad told me he’s got some lungs that can rival a car alarm but I never would have known it… I think he maybe cried once when it was time for a feeding.  I know this sweet little guy will bring so much joy to his mom and dad.  I see it now already!  Congrats K and E… enjoy the sneak peek!

Welcome to the world, Baby H!

I love this tender moment with mom.

And the love you can see from his proud papa.

And his sweet little smile.  One of many I captured during his session.

Ok, this post is coming a few days later than I had anticipated… I am up to my eyeballs in editing.  Since I did promise to show you one more model from the high fashion shootout, I had to update the blog today before the week slipped by.   Isn’t she cute?  (Told you she deserved a post all to herself!)

I was very happy when I found out that we’d also had the opportunity to shoot a this gorgeous model at the high fashion shoot.  MacKenzie had the cutest outfits (she changed three times). I photographed her during the first set.  She was a photographer’s dream and happily obliged to model for us despite the heat.  She wasn’t just a trooper, she was a star!

More of Miss MacKenzie!

Remember that super crazy hot weekend we had at the end of August?
Myself, along with 49 other talented photographers from all over Southern California fared  the 100+ degree heat for the SoCal Photog Shootout. What an amazing time it was.  The theme of the event was high fashion, which was so much fun!  Since I don’t shoot weddings and photograph mostly children and families, it was fun to change it up and do something outside of what I normally get to do.

Models: Kaley Wilson, Doug Franco, Rachel Amara, David Liggett, Amanda Shaw, and Mark Laribee.

Be warned… I couldn’t narrow it down so this is going to be one very image heavy post.  Enjoy!
Once you take a peek at these images… you’ll see it wasn’t only the weather that was hot!

Special thanks to the All Made Up Team for the hair and makeup, Triple Scoop Music for the prizes, Doug and Henry from Tilt N Shift for sharing your knowledge of posing and lighting, and the people who put it all together, Hanssie and Matt.  You all rock!

By the way, there was actually one more model at the shootout and she is deserving of her own post.
Check back on the blog next week to see it!
