I am so lucky to have gotten to spend a few hours with this little miss, relishing in her newness and capturing her in first few days of life with her mommy, daddy, and big brother. Baby M was as sweet as can be during our session. She started off awake and alert, which was perfect because look at those beautiful eyes and perfect lips.
I have been wanting to photograph a newborn outdoors but the weather has never cooperated with me (too cold or too windy). It was a perfect July day when we had Baby M’s session and I was thrilled when her mommy said it would be ok to bring her outside to enjoy the warm summer weather for a few shots. I think photographers are the only people who get really excited to find overgrown grass!
I love mom and dad’s rings (especially Mom’s!!) on her tiny toes! I’m always looking for ways to encorporate “you” into your session (newborn sessions too!), and wedding rings are cerainly something special and unique to you!
Baby M is an absolute angel!
Check out this cool chalk board frame in the W family’s living room. Baby M’s Uncle drew this adorable letter M for her when he came to visit after she arrived home from the hospital. I’m sure it won’t be long before this frame will be filled with drawings from M and her big brother S! And another image that I love… mommy and her TWO baby loves. Being a mom of two myself, seeing this picture warms my heart and brings me back to those first days of being a mom with a toddler and a newborn!
Thank you W family once again for the opportunity to photograph your beautiful family. It’s truly an honor to have documented your son’s first year of life (and to see become a big brother) and now, your daughter’s new beginning. Enjoy every minute because they go by so quickly.
