It has been almost three weeks since the massive 7.0 earthquake hit Haiti and turned their country upside down. The news continues to be filled with story upon story of the devastation there and hundreds of thousands of people are still in need of help. What breaks my heart most is seeing the children of Haiti. Children who did nothing but their usual routine that day, whether is was going to school, playing outside, or just taking their afternoon nap in their mother’s arms. And in an instant, they have lost their parents and other family, their shelter, and their basic needs of food and water.
It’s unimaginable.
Like so many of you, I have been looking for ways to help the people of Haiti and am honored to announce that Cindy Chen Photography is partnering with Lenses of Love: Hearts for Haiti, a national group of photographers dedicated to helping the children and orphans of Haiti. Lenses of Love was started by my wonderful friend and fellow photographer, Sally Clark of Sally C Photography in Denver, Colorado. She has an amazing heart and I’m so glad to be a part
of her project.
From now until February 14th, 2010, I will be offering a limited number of “Lenses of Love” sessions. A special session fee of $150 (regularly $200) will be available during this time and for EACH Lenses of Love session booked, I will be donating 100% of the session fee directly to Kentucky Adoption Services, a non-profit organization who is assisting in relief efforts for the orphaned children in Haiti. It’s a wonderful way to support the children of Haiti and get some cherished photos of your family in return. The session fee must be received by February 14th to qualify, however, you have until
April 30th, 2010 to complete your session.
Each “Lenses of Love” session includes:
- a telephone consultation before your session to discuss the location and attire
- a 1-2 hour session at the location of your choice (immediate family members only, mileage restrictions may apply)
- 25-30 fully edited images from your session in a private, on-line gallery
The Lenses of Love session covers Cindy’s time and talent only. Additional prints, albums, canvases and other specialty items are available for purchase separately at our regular rates. Lenses of Love sessions cannot be combined with other special offers.
